- A: Taketomi Island is perfect for walking, with its white crushed-coral roads, traditional red-roofed buildings, and beautiful scenery.
Bicycles are also available for rental; please ask for details after you check in. Since Taketomi Village is a functioning community that is home to its residents, we ask that guests respect their privacy and refrain from walking around the village in swimwear, or entering uninvited into homes and shrines.
